Joint efforts and collaboration by Baales and CDC committee in sensitizing residents and the good people of ibeju communities against participation in the anticipated nationwide protest will make the people of ibeju communities have a different views on the matter.
These were the words of the Leader of the House of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Olayinka Mojéed Oluwafemi while addressing participants at Peace and Security meeting held at the ibeju palace on 27th July, 2024.
Addressing the gathering at the event, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adewale Adebanjo Fasali implored all at the event not to take part in proposed protest.
Speaking further, he cited the aftermath of the “End-Sars protest which left the country in a huge economy lost of properties and lives.
Representive of Baale in Council in ibeju, Dr. Taiwo Adekunle, while speaking at the events appeal to the youths not to engage themselves in any protest to disrupt the peace and unity of ibeju communities and country at large.
Present at the event are Ibeju Lekki Local Government Leader of the House, Secretary to the Local Government, Representative of Baale in Council, CDC Chairman, Representative of youths and others.
