IBEJU-LEKKI INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE AND QUIZ PRELIMINARIES UPDATE.

The 2nd day of the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Inter-School Debate and Quiz Preliminaries continued on Friday 15th September, 2023 at the NUT Hall, Ibeju-Agbe of the Local Government Area.

Below is the result of the excellent performances put up by participating Schools in different categories of the Competition.

Names of participating Schools that competed in the Quiz were(Primary Schools)
RCM School, Okegun,
RCM School, Ibeju
CPS Eputu,
RCM Awoyaya while
CPS Adeba got the 3rd position,
RCM, Ayeteju 2nd position and
CPS, Lakowe got the 1st position.
Elemoro Junior School and Iwerekun Junior School also competed in the Quiz and came 2nd and 1st Positions in the Junior Category.
The Senior Category also presented Ibeju High School as the winner in the 1st Position and Iwerekun Senior Secondary School in the 2nd position in the Quiz Category.

The keenly contested Debate Preliminaries had six Primary Schools and RCM Primary School,Okegun came 3rd, CPS, Adeba 2nd position while CPS, Lakowe came 1st in the Primary Category.
The Debate Junior Schools categoy had
Ibeju Junior School in the 3rd position,
Elemoro Junior School, 2nd position and
Iwerekun Junior School came 1st as the winner of the Junior Category.

Senior School Debate Category was won by Iwerekun Senior School in the 1st Position and Ibeju Senior School in the 2nd position respectively.

Having fulfilled the first phase of the Second Edition of the Ibeju-Lekki Inter-School Debate and Quiz Competition,
Winners of the Preliminaries were invited to the Local Government for further brief on their participation in the upcoming Grand Finale slated for the 29th of September, 2023.

The Supervisor for Education, Hon.
Sofwan Ogungbo on behalf of the Executive Chairman Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa applauded all Schools that participated in the Preliminaries and admonished them to try more next time while also reiterating the need for Schools to prepare their pupils for future competitions considering the efforts of Mayor Olowa in the improvement of the Administration in Schools.
He also thanked the moderators of the programme for their fairness and sense of commitment to Education.
