IBEJU-LEKKI COUNCIL HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT ON CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN  MARKETS AT ABULE PARAPO AND IDI-ABA.

In fulfilling the long term agenda of provision of Modern Markets for residents of the Council Area, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Friday 14th April, 2023 convened stakeholders’ Meeting in two different locations namely, Abule Parapo and Idi-aba axis where the construction of Modern Block of  Shops are to be commenced.

While addressing stakeholders of the two communities at different locations, Hon. Olowa expressed the dream of his Administration to provide Modern Markets for businesses in various communities within the Council Area.

The Local Government is, however, engaging the support of private individuals through Public, Private, Partnership (PPP) through Rob Royal Link and Twins Sisters Contractors
in achieving her objectives of changing the usual market set-up to a more befitting and conducive environment where businesses can thrive.

The Council Mayor solicited for the support of the Communities for the smooth running of both projects while he  promised to put safety measures in place for the four (4) months and 18 Months durations while providing
maximum Security for workers and safety of materials.

Both projects which will commence next week at the locations, Abule-Parapo and Idi-Aba respectively as said by the Contractors informed the gathering that the proposed structures will consist of Lock-up and Scapeland Shops which will be made affordable and available since the Local Government has a stake that covers the interests of the people of the Area.

In response, the community leaders on behalf of their people appreciated the Executive Chairman for granting their long time requests while asking for more presence of the Government in their communities. They applauded the Chairman for all the efforts  of his Administration to reposition the Council Area

Dignitaries at the occasions were the  Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adebanjo Adewale, the Supervisor for Works, Hon Mutiu Saheed Olasunkani, Special Adviser on Works, Mr. Fatia Alonge who gave the closing remark, the Supervisor for Budget, Hon. Balogun Hakeem Oluwole, the acting HOD Agric Mrs. Ajayi, Baale of Eleko and Abule Parapo, CDA Chairmen and Executives of both Communities, Market Executives, opinion leaders, Alhaji Ahmed of Tob Royal Links, Representatives of Twin Sisters amongst others.
