The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Tuesday 22nd November, 2022 received officials from the Public Service Standard and Performance Directorate, Office of the Head of Service of Lagos State on a monitoring visit to the Council Area.
The team which was led by Mr. Ligali, a director of the directorate intimated the Executive Chairman on the purpose of the visit which is majorly to get feedbacks and level of compliance of service standards by Agencies as stipulated by the Civil Service.
The Council Mayor in his response welcomed and commended the HOS team for the visit while intimating them on the achievements of his Administration in the last one year.
Hon. Olowa also hinted on the challenges the Council Area is facing on Internally Generated Revenue of which he assured that necessary measures is on the pipeline as a lasting solution for harnessing the Council’s IGR.
The Council Manager, Engr. (Mrs) Akitoye also hinted on some of the challenges of Staff which is majorly the long distance of office to home.
Engr. Akitoye however, reiterated the commitment of Management Members and the entire workforce of the Council Area to adhere strictly to lay down rules of the civil service for excellent service delivery despite hitches of nomenclature and non gazetted information’s raised by the HOD, Admin/HR, Mr.Samsudeen Omotayo and the Legal Officer, Barr.
Aboaba Olaronke while also highlighting on the emulative welfare packages for staff.
Mr. Ligali of the HOS Office in his response on behalf of his team applauded the Council Chairman and his Team for making Staff welfare a priority while also delivering on promises to the people of Ibeju-Lekki.
Also at the meeting were Head of Departments and Units of the Local Government, Chief of Staff of the
Council amongst others.
