In a bid to effectively implement the construction of the 2nd Phase of the Lekki-Epe Expressway starting from Eleko to Awoyaya, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Friday 18th November, 2022 played host to leaders of affected Communities and authorities of Craneburge Construction Company.
Part of the issue raised is the harassment of Craneburge workers by hoodlums and stealing of materials from the construction sites which hinders productivity.
While reacting to these concerns, all the Baales unanimously agreed to support the contractor by ensuring that none of such incidents occur anymore.
In also ensuring effective communication, it was decided at the meeting that a WhatsApp group be created for information dissemination between stakeholders and contractors on prompt project report and activities.
Craneburge reiterated it’s commitment on the prompt delivery of the work while soliciting for the support of all stakeholders including the leadership of the Council Area in achieving the herculean task.
Present at the meeting were Representatives of Oba Elemoro, Oba Ogunfayo and Oba of Lakowe, Baale Awoyaya, Shapati, Imalete Alafia, Igando, Oreki, Youth Leaders of affected Communities, Alh. M.O. Kazeem of Craneburg amongst others.
