Ibeju-Lekki Local Government under the leadership of her vibrant Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Wednesday 29th June, 2022 received the entourage of the Local Government Service Commission led by the Commission Chairman, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu on a Bi-Annual working Tour amidst jubilations from Management and Staff of the Council Area.
While addressing the August visitors in his office, the Executive Chairman reeled out part of his achievements to the admiration of the Commission Members as well as reiterating on the synergy between the political class and the technocrats.
“I want to seize this opportunity to thank the Management for their seamless support to this Administration while they act as my cabinet members for policy and strategic planning for the growth of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government before the Executive Council was constituted till date “he said.
Hon. Olowa also applauded the role the Commission is playing through the scheduled visits to ensure effective service delivery in the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas within the State, stressing the positive impact the visits will have on productivity.
On the part of the Commission, the Chairman, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, commended the Executive Chairman for his commitment into ensuring a workable relationship amongst the top echelons of the Council and their subordinates as well as the bogus welfare packages for Staff.
Hon. Bayewu, however, enjoined Management and Staff at the occasion to reciprocate the Executive Chairman’s good gesture and perform maximally for effective service delivery.
The Council Manager, Engr. (Mrs.) Olubunmi Akitoye in her closing remark thanked the Commission for the visit as well as commended the entire workforce of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government for the peaceful Co-existence.
The occassion was capped with the celebration of the bilated birthdays of the Commission Chairman,
Hon. Kamal and two other Members namely Hon. Ahmed Seriki representing Epe Division and
Hon. Hakeem Bamgbala respectively.
Part of the Commission entourage were representatives of the Permanent Secretaries of Local Government Service Commission and Local Government Establishments, Training and Pensions; Directors amongst others.
