IBEJU LEKKI COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ATTENDS GRADUATION AND MATRICULATION CEREMONY OF LEKKI ADULT LITERACY AND VOCATIONAL CENTER, CHARGES GRADUANDS TO STAY FOCUSED AND BE RESILIENT

The Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Saturday 11th June, 2022 attended the Year 2022 Graduation and Matriculation Ceremony of the Lekki Adult Literacy and Vocational Centre where he was the guest of honour.
The ceremony which was tagged “Kicking Illiteracy out of Lekki Campaign”, with “restoring faulty foundations” as its vision also had in attendance the former Minister of State Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Okechukwu Enelamah.
Speaking at the event, the Council Chairman, Hon Olowa, thanked the board of trustees for its commitment to wiping out illiteracy, while also acknowledging and applauding the Lagos State Government for the recent approval granted to set up a vocational Centre in Ibeju Township. Hon. Olowa admonished the graduands to see the program as an opportunity to embrace a whole new paradigm, he counselled them to eschew any form of inferiority complex they might be harboring on account of their mature ages, as he stressed that everyone on earth is destined for his or her own specific manifestation. “In life, it is never too late to start all over again” stated the Council Boss. While also appreciating the initiators of the laudable project for a job well done, he charged the board of trustees to keep the flame of literacy burning as literacy remains a great enabler of a better society.
The Council Chairman whose education policies have started yielding positive results also charged those Matriculating to put on their thinking caps in order to be solution developers for the society at large.
Other dignitaries at the event included Pastor Tunde Netufo, Head Pastor Redeemed Christian Church of God LP 20, who is also a trustee, Lekki Adult Literacy Center, Mr. Joe Mbulu, Coordinator and Trustee, Mrs. Chika Idalah Allison, Administrator and Lead Facilitator.
