The representatives of the Lagos State Empowerment Trust Fund (LSETF) saddled with the responsibility of empowering market men and women with the purpose of boosting their businesses today Thursday 28th April, 2022 were received by the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa who was ably represented by the Council’s Supervisor for Agriculture and Social Services, Hon. Muyideen Kareem and the Special Adviser on Agriculture, Hon. Olusola Edalere.

This programme is in consonance with the Social Services Agenda of the Olowa led Administration which has made provision for the registration of Small and Medium Businesses (SME) and the plan for the provision of capital as small loans for the growth and upgrade of their existing businesses.

The Supervisor for Agriculture Hon. Kareem Muyideen  who addressed the gathering on behalf of the Council Mayor
reiterated that market men and women should seize the opportunity to get additional capital which will assist them to grow their businesses.

Mrs Toyin, the officer who led the LSETF entourage enjoined beneficiaries to utilise the additional Capital Judiciously to provide more opportunity for others.

The traders and representatives of the two (2) markets visited  which was Eleko Junction and Akodo Markets respectively, expressed gratitude to Lagos State and  the Council’s Executive Chairman for remembering them despite other Commitments of providing social amenities in the Communities. This uncommon opportunity will help the people to put food on their tables because this is a rare measure.

Prayer was said by the Special Adviser on Agriculture and Social Services, Hon. Olusola Edalere for the Executive Chairman, for him to keep waxing stronger in making Ibeju-Lekki Local Government great again.

The Head of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs Tawakalitu Apena gave the closing  remark by applauding the Council Mayor Olowa for facilitating laudable programmes within the council Area.
