IBEJU-LEKKI COUNCIL SENSITIZES RESIDENTS ON VOTERS REGISTRATION… AS STATE’S WORKS AND INFRASTRUCTURE MINISTRY CONSULTS ON ROADS.

“One of the first step of ascending to an elected political position in Nigeria is to have a Permanent Voters Card for it is an integral part of the political process and also the power we have as electorate to choose who to lead us”. This was the Executive Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government submission at a day Stakesholder’s Sensitization programme on the continuous INEC VOTERS CARD REGISTRATION held at the Council Secretariat in Igando-Oloja.

Hon. Olowa who warmly welcomed his people emphasised on the need for them to get their Voters Card ready to be able to participate in the year 2023 general elections to vote their choiced candidate who can provide the dividend of democracy.

His Royal Majesty, (Oba) Muhideen Adebowale Balogun, the Onisolu of Solu Alade who was present at the occasion enjoined INEC Officials to be up and doing in their responsibilities to make the registration of Voters Card less cumbersome.

In the same development, the Ibeju-Lekki INEC Electoral Officer, Mr Badejo sensitizes residence on the process of obtaining Voters Card newly or replacements. He equally informed the gathering on the addition of more political units within the Council Area and enjoined residents to channel any of their complaints on the issue of Voters Registration to his office.

The Stakesholder’s Forum which is two in one also have in attendance a Director from the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Tolounso Ajanaku and the Project Manager of CRANBURG, Mr. Zakhia Bozhouni that informed and addresses the ongoing Construction of the Lekki/Epe Expressway as well as the just to be constructed Eleko/Lekki Roads. The duo solicited for the support of residence while assuring them of ensuring their total safety.

In addition, the Council Mayor stated his delight in the infrastructural development the Local Government Area is enjoying and appealed to residents to cooperate as well as give maximum support to his Administration.

Also at the occasion were, the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon.
Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, Honourable Members of the Council’s Legislature, Party Chieftains, the Council Manager, Engr. (Mrs) Akitoye Olubunmi, Management Members, CDC/CDA Members, Market Leaders, Religious Leaders, Youth groups Artisans amongst others.
