COUNCIL MAYOR COMMISSIONS THE RENOVATED LAKOWE PHC , INSPECTS DEBOJO PHC , SOLU ALADE PHC AND THE ON- GOING ROAD STABILIZATION WORK AT IBEJU AGBE TOWN
The Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa commissioned the newly renovated Lakowe Primary Health Care Center by the members of the Alumni Association of the Lagos Business School . He also took a tour of two other Primary Health Care Centers in Debojo and Solu Alade Communities respectively .
The Alumni of the Lagos Business School had embarked on renovation project in Lakowe PHC about some months ago . The renovation works include the construction and painting of perimeter fence, roof repairs and painting of the entire building . The association also supplied modem hospital equipments to family planning wards, laboratory, delivery room amongst others.
The Council Chairman used the occasion to thank the Alumni Association and called for more partnership in the area of health and education. He also used the opportunity to reel out his plans for the health sector such as the recruitment of medical doctors in all PHC’s, provision of power supply as he had directed the Works Department to commence the maintenance and supply of diesel to the generating assets in all the PHCs monthly to improve power supply. He also informed the audience that the Council has acquired an Ambulance to serve the PHCs in Ibeju-Lekki for emergency medical services. This is in addition to the proposed commencement of PHC renovation across the Lcal Government .
The Council Chairman in the company of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Dr. Adenike Oguntuase and Pharmacist Temitope Akinyemi also visited the Debojo and Solu Alade PHCs to asses the state of the facilities.These two centers have been out of operation for some time now but the Council is determined to put the facilities in place for the commencement of operation to serve the good people of Solu Alade, Solu Jegi, Solu Orunmija, Igando Orudu , Debojo, Badore, Idado etc
In the same vein the Council Mayor and his team proceeded to Ibeju township where there is an ongoing road stabilization works at Governors Road and Iba Road.
