LAGOS SECRETARY TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT (SSG) REVISITS TALUKO
COMMUNITY, IBEJU-LEKKI; AWAKEN ON “ONE COMMUNITY AT A TIME” (OCAAT) PROMISES.

The Lagos State Government through the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) today Thursday 14th October, 2021 paid a visit to Taluko Village in Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area.

The Council Chairman, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa together with the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Jaji and her team led the delegation to the agrarian community to fulfil earlier promises made during the first visit of the (OCAAT) delegation.

The SSG in her address, affirmed that the initiative was launched by the Lagos State Government to meet specific needs of people who reside in communities lacking basic amenities within the State and also to proffer lasting solutions to their problems.

Speaking further, Mrs. Folashade Jaji assured the people that, although they came around the community last year, the Government still stands on its plan to make lives easier for the dwellers; part of which includes providing quality seedlings for cultivation, culvert construction for proper road network/ linkage and provision of borehole for potable water.

She thanked the dwellers and assured them that the Council Mayor, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa will fulfill all plans for a revolutionary agricultural boost in the community as he himself has toured all agrarian communities concerned on assumption of office.

In appreciation, members of the Community Development Association CDA expressed their gratitude to the Lagos State Secretary to the State Government for an initiative of this magnitude and was full of praises for the Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa as they affirmed that indeed it is the dawn of a new era for a living life.

The “One Community At a Time (OCAAT)” initiative was first launched at Gbaji in Badagry and it is expected to go round all earmarked communities in Lagos State.
