IBEJU-LEKKI YOUTH ON DIGITAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP, SKILL TRAINING/ MENTORSHIP

LAGOS STATE MINISTRY OF WEALTH CREATION AND EMPOWERMENT SENSITIZES IBEJU-LEKKI YOUTH ON DIGITAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP, SKILL TRAINING/ MENTORSHIP.

Ibeju-Lekki Local Government today 5th October,  2021 played host to the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Lagos State led by its vibrant  Commissioner,
Hon. (Mrs.) Yetunde Arobieke for the sensitization of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Lekki Local Council Development Area on Digital Entrepreneurship,
Skill Training/ Mentorship: A project that will commences on Monday 11th October, 2021.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman,
Hon. (Engr.) Abdullai Sesan Olowa who was ably represented by the Director and Head of Works and Infrastructure Department of the Council, Engr. Okunowo  Rotimi lauded the Lagos State Government for taking the bold step in engaging youths in  the State by providing them an avenue to build a rewarding future in the now competitive digital world.

Hon. Olowa also reiterated on the need for lucky participants to embrace the rear opportunity of becoming self reliant after the rigorous Entrepreneural/ Digital training to be embarked upon.

The Council Mayor however, appreciated the Ministry for counting  Ibeju-Lekki youths worthy of this life changing programme and at the same time requested for more of such programmes in the nearest future.

In the same vain, the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs Arobieke in her keynote address, implored Youths present at the occasion to diligently embrace the IT-Enabled exercise in order to achieve and be beneficiaries of the start-up plans and other lagesse to be presented after the training to enable them be their own bosses and be able to compete and be part of the world digital village.

Hon. Arobieke explained that the training will be in phases with beneficiaries from the five Divisions of Lagos State which are Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos-Island and Epe. She emphasized on the need for participants that begins the training to see it to a conclusive end with a promise of the payment of stipends at the commencement of the programme.

Also present at the occasion were the entourage of the Honourable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Management Members, Representatives of Lekki LCDA amongst others.
