Ibeju-Lekki Council Chairman, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa at the 3-Day Induction Retreat for Newly Elected Chairmen, which was tagged ‘Engineering Peace, Security and Development at the Grassroots’, embodied the Governor of Lagos State, His Deputy, Commissioners, Ministries and Chairmen of the 57 LGAs and LCDAs, talking and rubbing minds on the nitty gritty, salient to the progress of governance at the grassroots.

Asides the series of intellectual presentation and feedback on the various topics, a great deal of emphasy by many, throughout the occasion, was on Collaboration between the State and the 57 LGAs and LCDAs in strengthening the capacity of governance in the state generally.

It is expected, that following the retreat, the chairmen will be imploring, experimenting and exploring the various ideas, recommendations and solutions at the grassroots, while working together with each other and the state.

As a fresh innovation, a concept called *Talents Hunt* was introduced at the occasion, as endorsed by Mr. Governor. It’s where Chairmen of each LGAs and LCDAs, will look into their communities and fish for a youth that is 18 and above, that will stand with other youths from the LGAs and LCDAs, as *One Wealth Ambassadors* They are to be trained on the various dreams they may have, equipped to solve the disconnect between youths and the government, and personified as part of development in Lagos State.
