In a bid to fulfill tradition and to source for support for his Administration, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa today Tuesday 10th August, 2021 paid a courtesy visit to the two paramount rulers of Ibeju-Lekki kingdom, HRM. Oba Tajudeen Adebanjo Afolabi Elemoro, the Onitedo of Oke-Odo Iwerekun and his royal counterpart HRM. Oba Muideen Adebowale Babatunde Balogun, the Onisolu of Solu-Alade Kingdom.
The Executive Chairman’s visit to the Royal fathers is borne out of the need for the Chairman to intimate them on the cardinal agenda of the Olowa led Administration, as well as to solicit for their royal support for a successful tenure.
Engr. Olowa, his Vice-Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, Legislative Arm, the Council Manager, Engr.(Mrs.) Akitoye and other council entourage were received warmly first by HRM, the Onitedo of Oke-Odo Iwerekun and later by HRM, Onisolu of Solu-Alade Kingdom
While addressing the royalties at different locations, Mayor Olowa reiterated on the need to get the blessings of the royals for a fruitful and successful tenure in office.
The Executive Chairman, however, emphasized on his Administration’s commitment to create employment opportunities as well as tackle the menace of security challenges faced in recent time. He opined that getting youths engaged one way or the other will prevent them from partaking in criminal activities.
Hon. Olowa, appreciated the fact that there are good elderly people in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, the youths can rely on for guidance. The Council Mayor, seized the opportunity to commiserate with the Onitedo of Iwerekun over the loss of valuables during the ENDSARS saga; a tour of the wreckage was made by the Chairman and his team.
In the same vein, Hon. Olowa also on behalf of his entire cabinet used the opportunity to congratulate HRM. Oba Muideen Adebowale Babatunde Balogun, the Onisolu of Solu-Alade Kingdom on his One (1) year Coronation Anniversary coming up tomorrow.
The Council Mayor reiterated on the commitment of the Council to give adequate support to the royal fathers.
In response, the royal fathers promised their unflinching support to the Engr. Olowa led Administration whenever called upon.
